No not that kind in children”s books . Under the Bridge. Trip Trap , Trip Trap , bang bang bang. But people who get a thrill from taunting other people. Often perfect strangers that they can become fixated on. The celebrity stalkers. The glory hunters who latch onto to somebody who have appeared in the paper. No not those ones. But of the people who do some good work , raising awareness on all sorts of topics. Charity Fundraisers. The kind were it might be kind of cute to have a person who admires you for all the hard slog that a person does.

It is a sinister notion that some of the social networks harbour people who lurk behind their profile pictures. Some are anonymous. Some would like to shield behind a facade of secrecy. But it seems like to many there are those such people who become emeshed in bitterness at another . This is displayed in the written bashing of a person on their “wall”.Perhaps even rumour mongering, only to serve the purpose of plain old gossipping. Does this make the basher feel “good”. To cause humilation to others. Is it derived from jealousy, bitterness. Or even envy. Thank goodness for the REPORT, BLOCK AND UNFRIEND button. If only there was such an object in real life. To the people targetting others. The backstabbers,  A very simple message. “Stop taking yourself so seriously, get a life perferably outdoors in the REAL FRESH AIR ” . No I am not directing that at anybody in particular. You know who you are.

The public perception of social worker is of a baby snatcher . Change the image radically , thenothers will maybe have a better presumption. Of course highlight the successes. But that does not get heard of. Just a mention I don’t hate ALL ss staff. Just the ones who “let me down ” time and time again. Maybe it is simular to other people ( defensive people/ angry people )

Protecting Our Childre

Those that state ” it never did me any harm ” need to look at what they have said. That is admitting that they have been smacked. That their parents found them to be naughty. So do people repeat the behaviour of their parents ? Is this were it originates from ?. The lessons of our own parenting. How do people learn to be parents. Do they read books? . Watch T.V shows? . Do they even learn it at school as part of the National Curriculum ?

It was deemed acceptable to smack children. It was even seen as the norm. If a smack got out of hand ( a thumping) , the Welfare /NSPCC came around to have a chat with the parents. According to the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 it is classified like this

I can clearly remember etched somewhere in the back of my mind (maybe even my subconsious) that I remember the angry voice shouting at me. Then the hand , or object,  then the stinging pain of the punishment. I cowered away from the perpetrator. The perpetrator was “giant sized” .  Seemed like to me to be looming over me. I don’t like being hit or shouted at EVER.  To instill that fear into a child is just plain wrong.  Bullying person . That is the damage caused to me. Maybe that is the same for others.

• Only a person who has had that happen to them can possibly understand how that feels. Oh ppl can empathasise . Ppl can still have their negative oppinion . So if you have depression etc, be mindful that others will not understand. Others might call you negative names. In many eyes that is the hallmarks of bullying. Be careful of mysterious diagnoses from ‘experts’ that have never been your G.P.

• Did the children feel that they were some how abused. Ask the child in years to come, after all the brain washing techniques have been applied . If you are lucky and still see your offspring, remind them gently of only the things that you’d know. See if it gives them a warm glow inside . x

Dear Nottinghamshire County Council Childrens Services. This is my
official complaint regarding the lack of action and care bestowed to
me whilst in the care of the local authority. I was in County
Council’s care from the age of five, until I moved to Bobbersmill at
the age of sixteen.
In September 2009 I wrote a subject access request to Ms Jane Todd
regarding my files. These were eventually received in April 2010. At
the time of my childhood my social workers were Margaret Humphreys ,
Jean Thorpe and Sophia Hunter. Their names have been previously been
disclosed before in correspondance, so they are now fully aware of the
contents. This letter is to complain about their lack of care and
action whilst under their care.

In the correspondance I sent, both Margaret Humphreys and Jean Thorpe
emailed me back. I get the distinct impression that Margaret fully
acknowledges my complaints, Jean advised me to notify the police. I
was also emailed by two duty social workers that had been messaged by
Jean , asking me what I wanted to do. I feel that I am being pushed
from pillar to post, the buck is being passed from person to person.
Passing the buck of culpability and pigeonholed.

I want and need Justice, out into the open . Not fobbed off ( as per
usual). As I pore through my records that I have here. I am puzzled by
the blacked out sections. Forgive me for being blunt, but isn’t that
against the law to tamper with government records? I would like to
know who authorised this blanket of secrecy to MY files then, and who
can release that information now. What is so secretive that I am not
allowed to see it?

There is no reference to a child that the foster carers alledge to
have living there at the time I was also there. His name is R
J W ( d.o.b April 1974). The exact same age as their adoptive
daughter R  B( now Connor ). To my memory he was
there for a short time. I originally thought him to be a sort of
playmate, or a previous foster child coming to visit us. But I think
that he eventually went to live at Mr & Mrs Settle’s of Musters Road
WestBridgford foster home. Mr &Mrs Berry and Mr & Mrs Settle seemed
very pally. R came to visit us in his teenage years. Ruth would
go off to play with kids at that foster home.

After deep research I have come to the understanding that I may also
have been drugged, to have memory loss. So I need proof of my medical
records and possible perscriptions for that ten year period.

It is without maliciousness or predudice that I seek this proof, to
have the true identity of who I am. It feels as if the protective
organisation that was put in place to help me, has put me on a mental
, backbreaking downfall of personal attitude. Lack of confidence and
clarity, which has allowed me to become a double thinking person,
without permanant mental function.

I have come to the understanding that it was not under my
responsibility , but of the adults whose care that I was entrusted in,
of which Nottinghamshire County Council as an organisation and Mr &
Mrs Berry ( long term foster carers) have not acted in ethnic
fundamental grace to my development. For example the somewhat racist
remarks coming from the mother of Mrs Berry.

So therefore in turn, it affected my own sons and family like
development , that has caused me to lose my own offspring to the
system- which has notified me and my husband through the Family Court
that I am not suitable to rear my own offspring. Because of this
nature of loss, I have suffered a lot of distress, which has often
caused me to raise a lot of questions. If fostering and adoption is a
amiable organisation, that in turn helps society, but robbed me of
moral virtue. It has come to light through these files that Margaret
Humphreys had recommended me for Psychiatric Care and Counselling. (
As early as aged seven years of age). I need to know the exact reason
that my foster carers gave to Margaret Humphreys, that I needed
Psychiatric Evaluation of sorts. And WHY most importantly she and
others left me open to abuses time and time again, having shared
concerns on paper of the “lack of emotional warmth” of both foster
carers. The risky activities being made to do against my will . The
way that everybody nearly connected to them , were my teachers ,
church people. Neighbours as well . Incidentally I was under a
consultant Psychiatrist Dr Rachel Leheup from 1986- 1999. I also have
these records in my possession.

There is common sense . This M.P is from the old school. He obviously does not like that parents are fearful to disapline their own children in fear that the Stalinist state, also known as Social Services will turn up and seize your children. But he is right in one sense. I remember as an eight year old I hit a little girl at school. Probably a childhood squabble that got out of hand. But my church going headmaster ( same church)  who was also chummy with my foster family reached up for his cane. The look on my face and remembering my history as to why I was in state care, stopped him from thrashing me. So corporal punishment ended in the eighties. Isn’t that a form of child abuse. Mr Brian George, you see I ALWAYS remember that terror.
